A New Car for John

Actually, it's a truck. We decided that after 8 months of being a one car family, we were finally ready to get another car....truck. We have been looking for about a week and John finally found a truck that he really liked on Craigslist.

The first thing he tells me when he gets home Monday night is that he's found the perfect truck and I have to see it. It looked like it was in good shape and the seller was willing to work with us on the price. So at 6:30 pm we decided to go to up to Humble (about 1 1/2 hour drive) to meet this guy. The truck was great and we signed the bill of sale right then. He has had to brush up on his gear shifting skills as the truck is a manual, but it has been fun riding around with him. It is green with a slight lift on it, and he loves it! I do too! Now I don't have to get up so early to take him to work!

In other news, John and I both received new callings for our church. John is the new Young Mens President. He is excited to get to know the youth better and is hoping to leave a lasting impression on them.

I am First Counselor in the Primary Presidency and am very excited to work with children. It seems that I was meant to be around children.
